Student Story Maps
Each week, students map the storyline from one chapter of the novel. Students are also responsible for identifying new and/or unusual vocabulary and grammar in context, as well as posing questions to their classmates about the reading. Their questions are answered through a combination of peer and instructor feedback. Below are examples of their work.
Chapter One - "Found Objects"
Chapter Two - "The Gold Cure"
Chapter Three - "Ask Me if I Care"
Chapter Four - "Safari"
Chapter 5 - "You (Plural)" & Chapter 6 - "X's and O's"
Chapter 7 - "A & B"
Chapter 8 - "Selling General B."
Chapter 9 - "Forty-Minute Lunch: Kitty Jackson Opens Up About Love, Fame, and Nixon!"
Student Graphic Organizers
