Activity #1 - Line Interviews
1. Stand up and form 2 lines, facing each other.

Activity #2 - Proposal Writing & Peer Feedback
1. Write down 5 topics you're interested in.
2. In groups, discuss and ask follow-up questions.
3. Choose 1 topic and take 15 minutes to write a topic proposal.
4. Switch papers with 1 classmate. On the back, write 3 questions you'd like to ask them about their proposal.
5. Switch papers again and repeat #4.
6. In groups, ask the questions you wrote down and discuss with classmates.

a) Write 4 words or phrases you don't understand.
b) Write 4 sentences that confused you. Examples:
On page 27, I don't understand the word order in this sentence:

Why did the author use past perfect tense on page 27?
"She'd run out to Duane Reade to buy him pacifiers and diapers."
